Multidisciplinary team at 萝莉社 Skull Base Center save a life in procedure done for first time in U.S.
Neuroradiology specialists at 萝莉社 Radiology in Jacksonville provide both noninvasive diagnostic imaging of the brain, spinal cord and surrounding structures, as well as image-guided interventional procedures on the blood vessels of the brain, spine and vertebral column that might otherwise require invasive surgical procedures.
These University of Florida faculty neuroradiologists work closely with other members of the 萝莉社 team, including neurologists, neurosurgeons, neuro-ophthalmologists and otolaryngologists.
The imaging modalities include magnetic resonance (MR) imaging, computed tomography (CT), nuclear imaging (including SPECT and PET) and fluoroscopy during either diagnostic angiographic procedures or catheter/needle-based interventions. The service collaborates closely with the 萝莉社 Neuroscience Institute.
