The Breast Center also offers dedicated patient nurse navigators to help guide you on your care journey from diagnosis to treatment.

From diagnosis to treatment: Your care journey

  • Your diagnosis and condition will be evaluated individually, and our specialists will review various treatment options with you prior to beginning any therapy.
  • Our accomplished breast surgeons will offer surgical treatment options for you based on the type and nature of your breast cancer.
  • Following surgery, you may need radiation therapy, chemotherapy or hormone therapy in an attempt to destroy any remaining cancer cells.
  • Proton therapy, a type of radiation therapy, may also be considered. ÂÜÀòÉç Proton Therapy Institute physicians work closely with our breast surgeons and oncologists to create a comprehensive treatment plan. The ÂÜÀòÉç Proton Therapy Institute in Jacksonville is the first and leading proton therapy facility in the Southeast that has been providing care to our community for more than 15 years.
